Abu Dhabi International Airport - Growth hardly slowing as year-end approaches

Premium Analysis

Despite the global economic slowdown and tumbling fuel prices hurting oil-based Gulf region economies, Abu Dhabi International Airport shows little sign of being affected by the downturn that is being felt at other airports in the region. Abu Dhabi Airport Company (ADAC) reports passenger numbers in Nov-08 increased 27.4% year-on-year. For the eleven months ended 30-Nov-08, traffic increased 32.3%, hardly slowing from the 32.9% growth registered over the first three quarters of the year.
