The Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) is an international financial institution established in 1973 and based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The bank comprises 56 member states with regional offices in Morocco, Malaysia, Kazakhstan and Senegal, as well as representatives across 12 member countries. The bank aims to foster economic development and social progress in and between member countries. It participates in equity capital and grant loans for productive projects, provides special forms of financial assistance to member countries for economic and social development, and operates special funds to Muslim communities in non-member countries.
