Qatar Civil Aviation Authority (QCAA) is the government body charged with civil aviation oversight in Qatar. The civil aviation authority oversees the development of air navigational systems, airport projects, services related to safety and security as well as civil aviation regulation. It also facilitated in the establishment of the national carrier, Qatar Airways. The QCAA comprises of the following five departments;
- Air Navigation Department
- Air Safety Department
- Department of Air Transportation and Airport Affairs
- Meteorology Department
- Joint Services Department
