TF Green Airport (also known as Theodore Francis Green State Airport) serves the city of Providence, Rhode Island, US. The airport is among the busier airports in the New England region, with the vast majority of traffic coming from the regional subsidiaries of US majors.
In May-2021 US' Rhode Island Representative Brian Patrick Kennedy announced the state House of Representatives passed legislation to rename Providence T F Green Airport as Rhode Island T F Green International Airport. Mr Kennedy said the goal of the legislation is to "assist in marketing the state of Rhode Island to both leisure and business travellers". The measure will now move to the state senate, which recently passed similar legislation.
