Sólyom Hungarian Airways
Sólyom Hungarian Airways was a Hungarian start-up with plans to commence services with six aircraft in 2013. The carrier positioned itself as the new national airline and successor to former flag carrier Malév Hungarian Airlines, though did not receive state investment. Instead the carrier reportedly said that it had the financial backing of Middle East investors. In Oct-2013 Sólyom Hungarian Airways suspended operations after it failed to agree on terms with its investors.
As of Mar-2014, the carrier is said to be focusing on obtaining an AOC to provide services to the ad-hoc charter market.
