About
Saratov Airlines JSC, previously known as Saravia, was a Russian carrier headquartered in Saratov, Russia. The carrier previously operated as a state-owned enterprise, and was privatised following a process of corporatisation in 1994. Aeroflot Group acquired a 51% stake in Saratov Airlines in 2011, and sold the controlling share to private investors in 2012. Saratov Airlines operated scheduled domestic and international services from its main hub at Saratov Tsentralny Airport. In mid May-2018, Saratov Airlines considered a letter from Rosaviatsiya a restriction on its air operator's certificate from 31-May-2018. Consequently the carrier suspended operations from 30-May-2018.
Saratov Airlines' shareholder expressed interest in the establishment of a new carrier, and commenced under the Ivolga Airlines brand in Apr-2018.
