Xiamen Airlines notes achievements over five years, outlines 2015 targets

Xiamen Airlines chairman Che Shanglun notes the following achievements by the carrier over the past five years, as reported by CAAC-News:

  • Revenue: Increased from CNY8000 million (USD1250 million) to CNY17,000 million (USD2656 million);
  • Profit: Increased from CNY200 million (USD31.2 million) to CNY2200 million (USD343.8 million);
  • Annual passenger numbers: Increased from nine million to 17 million;
  • Fleet: Increased from 45 aircraft to 90 aircraft.

The carrier set its target of achieving a three-fold increase in fleet, traffic and revenue to 150 aircraft, 30 million passengers and 300,000 tonnes of cargo p/a, as well as revenue of CNY33,000 million (USD5156 million) and profit of CNY3000 million (USD469 million) p/a by 2015. By 2015, Xiamen is also targeting total assets of CNY45,000 million.
