Wizz Air: 15m pax carried in last 12 months

Wizz Air stated (01-Sep-2014) it has carried 15 million passengers during the last 12 months, for the first time in its history. The figure represents a 17% year-on-year increase, with the carrier also reporting a load factor during the period of 86%. Wizz Air executive VP John Stephenson said: "Our latest milestone of 15 million passengers carried over a 12 month period confirms the high demand for the travel opportunities our low fares bring to the 36 countries in which we operate. We look forward to carrying ever more customers on one of our 341 routes to 102 destinations, as our fleet grows to 54 A320 aircraft by the end of 2014." [more - original PR]
