Vistara awarded AOP, to 'soon take to the skies'

Vistara, on its official Facebook page, stated (15-Dec-2014) the carrier has received its AOP. The carrier, alongside a picture, said: "Phee Teik Yeoh, CEO with Mr. Gurjot Malhi receiving the AOP from Dr Prabhat Kumar, DGCA. Vistara will soon take to the skies." The new Delhi-based airline plans to connect Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Goa, Chandigarh, Srinagar, Jammu and Patna in the first year of its operations with a fleet of A320-200 aircraft. The carrier currently has two leased A320s. Vistara chairman Prasad Menon said: "Receiving the AOP is a key milestone for Vistara... We are all looking forward to the first flight with excitement."
