Visitor arrivals to Hong Kong up 21.8% in 2010

Hong Kong Tourism Board reports (07-Jan-2010) provisional total visitor arrivals to Hong Kong rose 21.8% year-on-year in 2010. Details include:

  • Visitor arrivals: 36 million, +21.8% year-on-year;
    • Mainland: 22.5 million, +27%;
    • Short-haul (excluding Mainland): 8.7 million, +16.5%;
    • Long-haul: 4.8 million, +9.6%. [more]

Hong Kong Tourism Board: "Hong Kong's tourism experienced a strong rebound in 2010 after the severe blow dealt by the financial tsunami and human swine influenza in 2009.
