United Airlines to announce nonstop San Francisco-Chengdu service, Apr-2014 launch: report

United Airlines is reportedly expected to announce nonstop San Francisco-Chengdu service from Apr-2014 at the 12th Fortune Global Forum, which is being held in Chengdu between 06-Jun-2013 and 08-Jun-2013 (Chengdu Business Times, 06-Jun-2013). The carrier reportedly plans to operate the service four times per week initially with the Boeing 787. Chengdu Logistics Office director Chen Zhongwei said negotiations took more than two years.
