transavia.com to close Danish operations from 01-Nov-2010

transavia.com completed (15-Oct-2010) negotiations and consultations with its Danish works council regarding the closure of its Danish operations. Most of transavia.com's flights out of Denmark will be cancelled effective 01-Nov-2010, allowing it to reimburse most tickets. At the same time the company has finalised an agreement with Norwegian, allowing passengers to be rebooked on Norwegian flights. With the completion of the consultation procedures in Denmark, Danish employees now have a social plan for the closure of the business, which is a pre-condition for the execution of the closing. Some flights will remain operative in Denmark until 01-Apr-2011. [more]
