TransAsia Airways reports USD5m net profit in 2012, revenue up 75% in five-years

TransAsia Airways announced (10-Jan-2013) the carrier's revenue increased by 75% over the past five years, reaching TWD9499 million (USD316.6 million) in 2012. Compared to 2011, the carrier's 2012 revenue increased 8.7%. Dec-2012 revenue increased 12.69% to TWD818 million (USD27.3 million). The carrier also reported international booking rates reached at least 95% on international services during the Lunar New Year holiday period. Overall forward booking on all routes is above 90%.     • Revenue: TWD5693 million (USD189.8 million), +5.5% year-on-year;
    • Net profit: TWD12.9 million (USD428,667);
    • Earnings per share: TWD0.03;
  • 2010:
    • Revenue: TWD8354 million (USD278.5 million),
    • Net profit: TWD918 million (USD30.6 million);
    • Earnings per share: TWD1.91 (USD 6.4 cents);
  • 2011:
    • Revenue: TWD8741 million (USD291.4 million), +4.6%;
    • Net profit: TWD664 million (USD22.1 million);
    • Earnings per share: TWD1.34 (USD 4.5 cents);
  • 2012:
    • Revenue: TWD9499 million (USD316.6 million), +8.7%;
    • Net profit: TWD153 million (USD5.1 million);
