Tokyo Narita Airport opens LCCT

Tokyo Narita Airport announced (08-Apr-2015) the official opening of its third terminal dedicated to LCCs on 08-Apr-2015, with Jetstar Japan, Jeju Air and Vanilla Air serving international services and Jetstar Japan, Spring Japan and Vanilla Air serving domestic operations. The airport is collecting a passenger facility charge of JPY1020 (USD10.2) per passenger and a JPY520 (USD5.2) security charge from international passengers. The charges are 40% lower than the charges at the airport's terminals one and two. LCCs now account for 24.1% of all passenger airline seats for scheduled flights in 2015 summer, an increase from the 9.5% for the winter of 2012. [more - original PR - Japanese]
