Thalys not considering joining an airline alliance but open to talks with long-haul carriers

Thalys International manager business travel Peter Lybeer, speaking at the CAPA World Aviation Summit, said (19-Nov-2014) a rail provider joining an airline alliance is not a good idea for the time being. Mr Lybeer said there is much to do in distribution to provide a seamless service. Mr Lybeer said he is open to agreements with long-haul airlines, particularly Middle East carriers.
