TAM international passenger traffic up 15.7% in Oct-2009

TAM international passenger traffic up 15.7% - traffic highlights in Oct-2009:

  • Passenger traffic (RPMs):
    • Domestic: +22.3% year-on-year;
    • International: +15.7%;
  • Load factor:
    • Domestic: 72.3%, +7.6 ppts;
    • International: 78.1%, +0.3 ppt. [more]

TAM: "As of the last week of September, we initiated a readjustment movement of our [domestic] yields and, as a result, we observed a growth between 5 and 10% in October in comparison to the previous month…as we had mentioned before, the international market had presented a more rational and stronger recovery, we estimate a growth from 10 to 15% of the yield in dollars for October, when compared to September," Company statement.
