Taipei Taoyuan Airport to invest billions on third terminal and runway

Taiwan's Taipei Taoyuan International Airport announced plans to invest more than TWD100 billion (USD3.2 billion) to construct a third terminal and runway with the aim to double the airport's capacity within 10 years (Carnoc.com, 19-Sep-2010). Under the plan, construction work on the new facilities will be completed by 2030, at which time the airport will have capacity for 58 million passengers and 4.5 million tonnes of cargo p/a.
