Sydney Airport working with Chinese carriers to improve services for Chinese nationals

Australia's Sydney Airport CEO Kerrie Mather, speaking at the CAPA Australia Pacific Aviation Summit, stated (07-Aug-2013) the airport has embarked on a range of initiatives to introduce a better passenger experience for Chinese passengers, following meetings with Chinese airlines on how to best serve Chinese nationals. Enhancements include better services, Chinese-language signage and Chinese language IT services, such as smartphone apps and a Chinese version of its website. Chinese nationals are the second largest passenger group and the fastest growing by nationality, with 20% growth rate. Access to the Chinese market is going to be "absolutely critical" for Australia to meet its 2020 tourism growth targets.
