Star Alliance reports strong and steady demand for convention and meetings travel

Star Alliance announced (20-May-2011) its dedicated conventions and meetings travel products once again grew over the past 12 months, bucking the overall industry trend. The conventions and meetings market was the most resilient segment for Star Alliance over the past year. The number of contracts for its "Conventions Plus" product contracts grew by more than 15% and its "Meetings Plus" offer attracting twice the number of organisers than in the same period last year.
