Spirit Airlines confirms unveiling of new paint design on 16-Sep-2014

Spirit Airlines confirmed (16-Sep-2014) the unveiling of its new aircraft livery design on 16-Sep-2014. The new livery will match the carrier's "bright and bold branding" previously announced in May-2014. With one A319 already painted, Spirit plans to paint a further six aircraft in the new livery by YE2014, with ordered aircraft to arrive with the new design from 2015. The carrier's aircraft currently in service will keep their current designs until their regularly scheduled timeframe to be repainted. Spirit CEO and president Ben Baldanza stated, "This new livery perfectly matches Spirit Airlines. It's radically different from other airlines, and it's fun, just like we are. When you see this plane in the air - or on the ground - there will be no question that this is a Spirit plane." [more - original PR]
