South Korea's Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs reports (22-Jan-2013) South Korean LCCs had the following market share for the 12 months ended Dec-2012:

• LCCs market share: 18.8%, +2.3 ppts;
  • LCCs domestic market share: 43.8%, +2.4 ppts;
  • By route:
    • Gimpo-Jeju: 56%, +2.2 ppts;
    • Gimhae-Jeju: 66%, +4.6 ppts;
    • Gimpo-Gimhae: 44.8%, +0.7 ppt;
    • Cheongju-Jeju: 40.2%, +2.9 ppts;
    • Gunsan-Jeju: 51.9%, -0.6 ppt;
  • LCCs international market share: 7.5%, +3.2 ppts;
  • Market share on top routes by passengers carried by LCCs:
    • Incheon-Bangkok: 22.7%, +9.6 ppts;
    • Incheon-Osaka: 16.5%, +5.3 ppts;
    • Incheon-Fukuoka: 22.2%, +21.7 ppts;
    • Incheon-Hong Kong: 8.1%, +2.7 ppts;
    • Incheon-Guam: 40.1%, +5.1 ppts.
