South Africa considering measures to support low-cost operations

South Africa's Department of Transport Civil Aviation Service Acting Deputy Director-General Johan Bierman said the department is considering programmes to support low-cost operations in the country, including low-cost airports. Mr Bierman, as reported by Business Day, said, "there is a need to unlock the benefits of aviation and create space for a new model of low-cost airlines."
