SkyWest US reports USD20.5m operating profit in 1Q2012

SkyWest revenue up 6% - financial highlights for three months ended 31-Mar-2012:

  • Total operating revenue; USD921.2 million, +6.4% year-on-year;
  • Total operating costs: USD900.7 million, +4.0%;
    • Labour: USD290.8 million, +1.6%;
    • Aircraft maintenance, materials and repairs: USD179.6 million, +10.1%;
    • Fuel: USD147.5 million, +16.3%;
  • Operating profit: USD20.5 million, +8912%;
  • Net profit (loss): (USD682,000), compared to a loss of USD11.1 million in p-c-p;
  • Passenger numbers: 13.4 million, +6.4%;
  • Passenger load factor: 77.1%, +2.2 ppts;
  • Passenger breakeven load factor: 77.0%, +0.4 ppt;
