Singapore Changi Airport reports busiest March in Mar-2013

Singapore Changi Airport reported (23-Apr-2013) its busiest March traffic with 4.6 million passengers, an increase of 7.7% year-on-year, in Mar-2013. Aircraft movements increased 5.3% to 28,400 and cargo volume increased 2.5% to 167,200 tonnes. In the first three months of 2013, the airport handled 13.1 million passengers, up 6.2% with traffic to/from Northeast Asia, Southwest Pacific and South Asia continued to underpin growth during this period. Aircraft movements for the quarter saw a 3.9% increase to 82,600 flights. Cargo volume fell 2.2% to 434,000 tonnes. [more - original PR]
