Singapore Airlines to reduce capacity on B777-200 aircraft by at least 7.6%

Singapore Airlines announced (04-Jan-2010) plans to reconfigure a total of 11 (of 30) B777-200s with its most recent cabin offerings, to provide additional space and greater product consistency. The refitted B777-200s will be configured with 38 Business and 228 Economy seats, operating selected flights to Beijing, Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Hong Kong and Chennai. The airline currently has two B777-200 layouts:

  • Layout 1: Total 288 seats: P12, J42, Y234;
  • Layout 2: Total 323 seats: P0, J30, Y293;
  • Proposed layout: 266 seats: P0, J38, Y228. [more]
