Singapore Airlines commences Singapore-San Francisco service

Singapore Airlines, Singapore Changi Airport, San Francisco International Airport and Airbus, via their official Facebook and Twitter accounts, announced (23-Oct-2016) the airline commenced daily nonstop Singapore-San Francisco service with A350-900 equipment on 23-Oct-2016 - see Route Changes Table for more information. The 13,583km is the longest at Singapore Changi Airport by distance and duration, with flight times ranging between 14:35 and 17:45 hours depending on direction and time of year. The aircraft used on the inaugural service is Singapore Airlines' sixth A350 and the 10,000th Airbus aircraft. The airline also plans to commence nonstop Los Angeles and New York services with A350-900ULR aircraft, scheduled to commence delivery in 2018. [more - original PR]
