Sheremetyevo pax traffic surges 31% in 2010 to new record

Russia's Moscow Sheremetyevo International Airport reports pax traffic up 31% - traffic highlights in 2010:

• Passenger numbers: 19.3 million, +31%;
  • Domestic: 7.0 million, +44%;
  • International: 12.3 million, +24%;
• Aircraft movements: 184,488, +16.3%;

The airport attributed the strong growth to increases in service from Aeroflot, Avianova and Transaero. In Dec-2010, Moscow Sheremetyevo handled 1.4 million passengers, a 21% year-on-year increase.
