Shanghai Pudong arrivals and departures up 29% in first nine months of 2010

China's Shanghai Pudong International Airport reported arrival and departure passenger numbers at the airport rose 29.4% year-on-year to 16 million for the nine months ended 30-Sep-2010, with international and regional passengers from Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan accounting for 70% (CAAC-News, 02-Oct-2010). Arrivals and departures at the airport between May-2010, commencement of the Shanghai World Expo and Sep-2010 rose 36.9% to 9.6 million.
