Saudi Arabian Airlines planning near double-digit domestic capacity expansion in 2016

Saudi Arabian Airlines DG Saleh Bin Nasser Al-Jasser reported (30-Jan-2016) the carrier increased domestic seat capacity by 9.7% year-on-year in 2015, to a total of 17.3 million seats. The airline plans to increase domestic capacity by 9.7% again in 2016, to 19 million seats. Saudia will concentrate capacity development in 2H2016, particularly for peak periods. The airline plans to offer an additional 199,300 seats per week during the Dec-2016 holiday period, increasing capacity by around 20%. [more - original PR - Arabic]
