SAS Group pax numbers up 5% in Jul-2013, load factor down

SAS Group reports (07-Aug-2013) the following traffic highlights in Jul-2013:

• Passenger numbers: 2.4 million, +5% year-on-year;
• • Scandinavian Airlines: 2.1 million, +4.9%;
  • Wideroe: 239,000, +5.1%;
• Passenger load factor: 83.9%, -2.1 ppts;
• • Scandinavian Airlines: 84.6%, -2.2 ppts;

SAS: "In line with SAS guidance, currency adjusted yield (Scandinavian Airlines) in June 2013 was up 2.2% and RASK was down 0.2% versus previous year. In July 2013 the change in yield and RASK vs. last year is expected to be negative due to the increased number of longer leisure routes during the holiday season."
