Rwanda expects air traffic to increase in 2012

Rwanda Civil Aviation Authority (RCAA) forecasts air traffic to increase from 200 to 300 weekly services in 2012. "We have been registering strong growth in flight traffic volumes since the beginning of last year, which is a result of a rebound in economic activities, increase in more airlines and new Rwandair routes," RCAA director general Richard Masozera said, as quoted by New Times. With the increase in airline traffic, RCAA projects an increase in passenger numbers from 400,000 in 2011 to 420,000 in 2012. [more - CAPA Analysis]
