Royal Jordanian says benefits from oneworld membership are 'very, very clearly there'

Royal Jordanian CCO Richard Nuttall, speaking at the CAPA Asia Aviation Summit, said (24-Nov-2015) benefits from membership of oneworld "are very, very clearly there - it's the benefits of having a network." Mr Nuttall explained: "When you're a small airline with not massive frequencies the extra city pairs it gets us connectivity with very little work… It's probably worth about 2% or 3% of our revenues being part of oneworld." Mr Nuttall noted: "Often people forget more and more people buy online and when they buy online they feel much more comfortable when they buy one airline code all the way through the itinerary, so being in oneworld helps us move a lot faster in getting our code on those services." Mr Nuttall added: "We benefit from the alliance… I don't think alliances are going to go away."
