Royal Brunei Airlines: 'The quest for profitable growth opportunities will remain a challenge'

Royal Brunei Airlines deputy chairman Dermot Mannion, speaking at the CAPA Asia Aviation Summit, said (23-Nov-2015) the market within Asia is competitive and difficult, noting: "The quest for profitable growth opportunities will remain a challenge." Mr Mannion said: "There's up to five airlines competing on some routes in Asia and that will likely increase… Right now were in a benign environment in terms of fuel but the industry tends to have short memories." Mr Mannion added: "The challenge will continue to be driving cost out of the business wherever you can find it."
