Qatar Airways orders 50 Boeing 777-9X, 50 GE9X engines and five A330-200 freighter aircraft

Qatar Airways placed (17-Nov-2013) the following orders on Day 1 of the 2013 Dubai Air Show:

• Boeing:
• • Signed a LoI to order 50 of the Boeing 777-9X variant. Currently Qatar Airways fleet is a mixture of various aircraft types, including 51 777s - both Extended Range, Long Range and Freighters (37 are currently in service with the remaining pending delivery). [more - original PR - Boeing 777-9X]
