Premium traffic growth contracts in Sep-2009: IATA; premium revenue still down 27%
IATA reports (17-Nov-2009) the following premium traffic growth highlights in Sep-2009:
- Total international: -13.9% year-on-year;
- Within Far East: -9.5%;
- Within Middle East: -7.5%;
- Within North America: -28.3%;
- Within Southwest Pacific: +2.8%;
- Within Europe: -26.9%. [more]
IATA: "Load factors are now back to pre-recession levels which is slowly improving fares and yields. However, the fall in passenger numbers almost entirely offset this benefit for revenues.
