Philippine Airlines loses long-running pay dispute with flight attendants
Philippine Airlines has lost a long-running pay dispute with its flight attendants and has been ordered by the Philippine Labour Department to pay PHP200 million (USD4.5 million) over three years to 1600 flight attendants and extend the retirement age from 45 to 65 (AFP, 28-Dec-2010). The ruling came after members of the union threatened to stage a strike or walkout.
