Philippine Airlines expects airline industry to remain weak until at least 2011

Philippine Airlines President, Jaime Bautista, expects the airline industry to remain weak until at least 2011, stating there is still a lack of demand (Manila Times, 22-Feb-2010). The carrier plans to continue offering low fares.

Philippine Airlines: "We are just waiting for the economy to recover and hopefully one year or two years from now the industry [would] pick up…What the airlines do is to offer attractive fares.
