PANYNJ to award contract to replace LaGuardia Airport Central Terminal on 28-May-2015

Port Authority of New York and New Jersey stated (22-May-2015) the contract to replace the Central Terminal Building at New York LaGuardia Airport will be awarded on 28-May-2015 (NJ.com, 22-May-2015). PANYNJ will select between two final bidders for the project - LaGuardia Gateway Partners (LGP) and LGC Central Terminal Consortium. LGP is led by Skanska and includes Walsh Construction, Vantage Airport Group, Meridiam, Morgan Stanley, Citigroup, Wells Fargo and Parsons Brinckerhoff. LGC is made up of Tutor Perini, Aéroports de Paris, TAV Construction, Goldman Sachs, Suffolk Construction, STV, Arup and Kohn Pedersen Fox. The USD3.6 billion project includes the construction of a new parking lot, access roads and other infrastructure improvements and replacing the terminal structure. The public-private partnership will see the PANYNJ finance USD1.1 billion in infrastructure improvement, with private parties investing the remaining USD2.5 billion. [more - original PR]
