Owen Airline, new Mexican start-up, to launch operations from Los Mochis in four months

Owen Airline, a new Mexican start-up, reportedly plans to launch operations in four months from its base at Los Mochis Federal Airport, according to investor Antonio Gutiérrez Román. As per a report from Periodico Noroeste, the carrier is waiting for its operating permit from the Directorate of Civil Aviation, to which Mr Román said, "Up to now everything has gone very well, we have not fought for permits." Mr Román said the carrier's launch routes would be daily Los Mochis-Guadalajara and daily Los Mochis-Tijuana service, with a single 30-seat Embraer E120 in its fleet and plans to purchase another unspecified aircraft within a year. The carrier has reportedly registered its logo with the Economy Ministry and is funded and managed by local investors.
