Opening of passenger terminal at Dubai's new airport delayed

Dubai Airports CEO Paul Griffiths confirmed the opening of the passenger terminal at Al Maktoum International Airport will be delayed until 2012 (Gulf News, 07-Mar-2011). The CEO stated Dubai Airports is adding larger aircraft and increasing passenger numbers at the airport. The airport is estimated to have costs AED124.8 billion (USD34 billion), and has been opened for cargo and general aviation operations.
