Oman tourism to be 2.4% of GDP by 2020

World Travel and Tourism Council forecast the direct contribution of the Omani tourism industry to GDP will increase from 1.5% in 2010 to 2.4% by 2020 (TradeArabia News Service, 04-Jul-2011). The contribution of tourism-related activity to the economy is also expected to increase from 7.6% of GDP in 2010 to 9.2% of GDP by 2020.
