No true LCC in Asia: Indigo Partners

Indigo Partners co-founder and managing partner William Franke, speaking at the CAPA Asia Aviation Summit, said (15-Nov-2016) there is no true low cost airline in Asia, stating carriers in the region, "don't have that model in place". Mr Franke noted many Asian low cost airlines are subsidiaries of large legacy carriers and said the cost structure of the larger airlines tends to "bleed down" to the low cost model.
