Nigerian Airspace Management Agency enforces 'pay before land' policy

Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) has warned carriers that fail to comply with the "pay as you go" policy for en-route terminal charges that the control tower would not give their aircraft clearance to take-off or land (All Africa, 30-Aug-2010). NAMA Managing Director Ibrahim Auyo explained in a letter sent to AON that the decision to implement the new payment mode which takes effect from 30-Aug-2010, was reached recently.
