Moscow airports resume operations after smog issues disrupt operations

Russia's Moscow Domodedovo Airport announced (06-Aug-2010) it is now operating normally after disruptions across all Moscow airports over the weekend due to heavy smog generated by wildfires (RIA Novosti, 08-Aug-2010). Ground visibility at Domodedovo is now at 1300m. Moscow Sheremetyevo and Vnukovo airports are now operating as per usual also. Some flights at the airports were grounded as a result of the issue, while others were diverted to St Petersburg Pulkovo Airport (Associated Press, 06-Aug-2010). [more]
