Merger of cargo units of China's 'big three' airlines gains momentum

China's State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council has established a preparatory group to oversee equity issues and details for the potential merging of the cargo units of China's "big three" airlines, Air China, China Southern Airlines and China Eastern Airlines (South China Morning Post, 26-May-2010). The new cargo airline is expected to be based in Shanghai.
