Melbourne Avalon Airport: 'our strength was buying the airport at such a low cost'

Australia's Melbourne Avalon Airport CEO Justin Giddings, speaking at the CAPA Australia Pacific Aviation Summit, stated (09-Aug-2013) the airport has a "very low cost base" and that the airport was bought "very cheaply". He said it is "all about cost" at Avolon but it is increasingly investing in passenger comfort. He added, "our strength was buying the airport at such a low cost".
