Medina International Airport to invite construction bids from early 2010

Saudi Arabia's General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) reportedly announced plans to invite expressions of interests for the expansion of Medina International Airport in early 2010, including the construction of a new runway and terminal to commence in 2011 (MEED, 17-Dec-2009). The airport will be expanded to handle 14 million passengers p/a, with International Finance Corporation (IFC) appointed as transaction supervisor for the project.
