Malaysia Airlines pax down 0.5%, load factor down 5 ppts in Aug-2011

Malaysia Airlines announced (11-Oct-2011) the following traffic highlights in Aug-2011:

  • Passenger numbers: 1.0 million, -0.5% year-on-year;
    • Domestic: 333,000, -2.9%;
    • International: 710,000, +0.7%;
  • Passenger load factor: 71.9%, -4.9 ppts;
    • Domestic: 61.7%, -1.4 ppts;
    • International: 72.9%, -5.4 ppts;
  • Revenue freight tonne kilometres: -19.3%;
