Lufthansa to deploy 747-8s to Washington, Los Angeles, Chicago, Delhi and Bangalore

Lufthansa stated (27-Apr-2012) it opened bookings on its first Boeing 747-8 on 27-Apr-2012, with the aircraft type to be deployed on services to Washington, Los Angeles, Chicago, Delhi, and Bangalore. From 01-Jun-2012, the aircraft will be deployed six times weekly on the Frankfurt-Washington route. Over the next few months, as four more of the aircraft join the fleet, the number of destinations served by the aircraft will be gradually increased. By late summer, 747-8 services will be offered to Delhi, Bangalore, Chicago and Los Angeles.
