Lithuanian airports handled 3.8m pax, an increase of 9% in 2014

State Enterprise Lithuanian Airports reported (06-Jan-2015) passenger throughput at Vilnius, Kaunas and Palanga airports increased 9% year-on-year to 3.8 million in 2014, attributing the growth to business development and the increasing mobility of the population. Vilnius Airport handled 2.9 million passengers, Kaunas Airport handled 724,000 passengers and Palanga Airport handled 133,000 passengers. Aircraft movements at the three airports increased 10% to 47,000. The fastest growing airlines in terms of passengers were Wizz Air, Air Lituanica and Small Planet Airlines.
